In 1997 the Canadian Romanian Society had the pleasure of
hosting Simona Ama nir Romanian gold medal winner in gymnastics
at the 1994 Atlanta Olympics. She was accompanied by her coach
Nicolae Formiti and competition judge Lana Sima. A banquet was
held in her honor at the Romanian Centre. Guests from Boian
and Edmonton enjoyed a very memorable evening.
